Independent app and licensing
QC Remote is independent and unofficial, without affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, or support from Neural DSP Technologies Oy. Neural DSP and Quad Cortex are used only to identify compatible products; their marks remain with their owner.
The planned MIT-or-Apache-2.0 grant for covered first-party source is controlled by the repository's license files when published. Application and optional-service terms cannot take away rights already granted under an open-source license. Third-party components retain their own licenses and notices. QC Remote does not include, replace, or modify Quad Cortex firmware.
Device operations and connected services
QC Remote can read device state and change presets, parameters, scenes, routing, volume, tempo, and other settings. Changes can overwrite unsaved work or affect live audio. Review requested actions, keep independent backups, use safe output levels, and test changes before performance or production use. Do not rely on the app for safety-critical or emergency functions.
Local control does not require the optional relay. Remote access is off until enabled; connected third-party AI apps receive only the scopes you approve and remain subject to their publishers' terms. Verify resulting device state rather than treating a natural-language response as proof of success. See the privacy policy for data handling.
Your content and acceptable use
The draft preserves your rights in material you provide, such as presets, captures, recordings, and impulse responses. It expects you to have the permissions needed to use that material and not to infringe others' rights, circumvent access controls, distribute malware, or violate applicable law or external-provider terms.
Support, remedies, and changes
The proposed app is free of a purchase price. The publisher's selected approach is best-effort support and security or conformity updates, with no fixed-duration or additional contractual commitment. This draft promises no fixed response time or indefinite service. It does not exclude mandatory consumer rights, remedies, warranties, or liabilities that applicable law protects; no fixed liability cap has been selected.
The draft allows users to stop using and uninstall the app. Uninstalling does not automatically remove data already sent to the relay or an external provider; see the remote-account deletion information. Any final terms must identify applicable changes, contacts, and dispute channels for each launch market before they become operative.
